Describing life as full of challenges and struggles.
This is a life of patience, this is a life of waiting
Life requires patience and involves a lot of waiting.
And it's too short to tie your hands behind your back
Life is too short to limit oneself or endure unnecessary pain.
It's too short to do these things that feel so bad
Expressing the brevity of life and avoiding unpleasant experiences.
Some might say it's too short to wait for you
Suggesting impatience may not be worth waiting for.
But who knows just why we do these things we do
Reflecting on the uncertainty of human actions.
Turn the radio on
Turning to music for solace and comfort.
Something slow and nice
Choosing a slow and soothing song to set the mood.
I can tell a joke. And you can roll your eyes
Sharing a lighthearted moment through humor.
And maybe this was the sweetest time of all
Suggesting the present moment is special and enjoyable.
Maybe this was what I was waiting for
Speculating that this moment may be the awaited fulfillment.
