Complaining leads to disappearance, referencing social exclusion.
Just like the lesbians and queers
Reference to discrimination against lesbians and queers.

Love requires divine grace or an unseen force.

A distant and unknown entity influences the ability to love.
And you get beaten up by blacks
Violence against individuals of African descent who face unemployment.
Who though they worked still got the sack
Despite working hard, some face job loss due to discrimination.
And when your soul tells you to hide
Suppressing one's true self due to societal pressures.
Your very right to die's denied
Denial of the right to choose one's own fate or end their life.
And in the battle on the streets
Engaging in societal struggles against technology and bureaucracy.
You fight computers and receipts
Confronting challenges related to modern life, paperwork, and automation.
And when a man is trying to change
Efforts to bring about change lead to additional suffering.
It only causes further pain
Attempting change causes more pain and difficulty.
You realize that all along
A realization that something within humanity is going astray.

An acknowledgment of a collective problem or flaw in society.

Ceasing to dance as a response to the harsh realities described.
