Solitary Mourner
Eternal Grief: A Solitary Vigil Amidst Autumn's DecayLyrics
And so the rain kept on falling
Continuous rainfall sets the somber atmosphere
Still a solitary mourner stands
A lone individual remains in mourning
Beneath the sorrowed eaves
Underneath the saddened shelter
Among the rotting autumn leaves
Amid decaying fall foliage
And watches over you
Observing and protecting someone
All the flowers laid
Floral tributes have withered away
Have long since bowed their heads
Flowers have bowed down, indicating mourning
And all the wailing women
Women who mourned intensely
No longer cast their cries
No longer vocalize their lamentations
And all who once wore black
Those in mourning attire have resumed normal life
Have returned to their lives
Yet, the solitary mourner persists
Yet the mourner has not
Without forgetting the loss
Forgotten
The mourner holds onto the memory
And will stand that way forever
Commitment to enduring grief indefinitely
If I am the mourner
Pose the question of self-identity as the mourner
Who shall know my name?
Uncertainty about being remembered
Who shall ever know my pain?
Doubt about the acknowledgment of personal suffering
A solitary mourner stands
A lone mourner remains steadfast
To watch over you...
To continue guarding and remembering
