Lyrics
I can feel the pressure coming down
I sense the pressure intensifying.
From all around so many deadlines to meet
There are numerous deadlines to meet from all directions.
Life has gotten crazy again
Life has become chaotic once again.
So many people counting on me
Many people are relying on me.
I keep my nose pressed to the grindstone
I diligently focus on my work.
I find comfort there I work for a living
Working gives me solace; I am employed for a living.
And I get it done I don't have a moment to spare.
I efficiently complete my tasks without a spare moment.
You think you've got me figured out
You believe you understand me.
Well there's not really to much more
There isn't much more to discover.
I work for a living and I get it done
I work hard and accomplish my tasks.
I'm just another working class whore.
I am merely another working class individual.
I put in the over time on this corporate ladder
I invest extra time in climbing the corporate ladder.
Climb I'm respected inside these wall's
Within these walls, I am respected.
I make my journey home watch tv all alone
After work, I return home and spend my evenings alone watching TV.
Outside I'm nothing so many times
Externally, I am insignificant numerous times.
I wish I could make a difference in this world
I wish I could make a positive impact on the world.
But I work for a living and I get it done
Yet, I work diligently and complete my tasks.
I just do as I am told you think
I follow instructions without much deviation.
You've got me figured out
You think you've fully understood me.
Well there's not really to much more
There's not much more to know.
I work for a living and I get it done
I am a hardworking individual who accomplishes tasks.
I'm just another working class whore.
Simply put, I am another working class person.
Day in day out same old thing
Every day is the same routine.
I'm a slave to this grind for all the work I do
I am enslaved to this continuous grind despite the effort I put in.
To keep myself ahead
I work hard to stay ahead.
I wonder what I leave behind.
I ponder what legacy I will leave.
Rent, water, power, phone,
Basic necessities like rent, water, power, and phone consume my earnings.
Insurance to pay on health, life auto and home.
Insurance payments for health, life, auto, and home add to my financial obligations.
I wake up old and I won't fit the mold
As I age, I won't conform to societal expectations.
I'll be out on my own.
I'll live independently on my terms.
I'm just another working class whore.
In essence, I am just another working class individual.
