Strength is drawn from a pure and reliable source, likened to a pristine well.
It spills out into an ocean where the sharks are circling
The strength is exposed to a challenging environment represented by an ocean with circling sharks.
A carnival of counterfeits has no room for something real
A negative portrayal of a deceptive and insincere environment that rejects authenticity.
Arrogance and ego wrapped around every word
Highlighting the presence of arrogance and ego in communication.
Shouted from the pulpit as a judgment to control
These qualities are expressed loudly from a position of authority, aiming to control others.
These were my roots my seed was thrown in shallow soil
Personal history rooted in a shallow and unproductive foundation.
I grew into the thorn bushes to be scorched by the sun
Growing into difficulties, symbolized by thorn bushes and harsh sunlight.
But I feel the gravel move beneath my feet
Sensing a change or shift in one's circumstances, possibly for the better.
The smell of the gasoline mixed in with the trees
Perceiving a mixture of danger (gasoline) and nature (trees) in one's environment.
When my faith is strong I know my strength
Confidence and strength are experienced when faith is strong.
The threats will be screamed when the vultures fell threatened
Threats arise when those with ill intentions feel threatened.
So I'll open up the door and let you in
Willingness to open up and welcome someone into one's life or experience.
I want to break the alabaster smell the sweet perfume
Desire to break down barriers and experience something beautiful and precious.
And when the bottle is broken I'll have nothing left to give
Awareness that giving everything may leave nothing, but it's a worthwhile sacrifice.
I'll know I'll already have everything worth having
Realization that having meaningful experiences outweighs material possessions.
But I feel my strength returning tonight
A repetition of the feeling of inner strength returning.
Its flowing from the purest well to ever give water
Reiteration of drawing strength from a pure and reliable source.
It spills out into and ocean where the sharks are circling
Reiteration of facing challenges in an environment filled with potential harm.
A carnival of counterfeits want to crucify something real
Rejecting false representations and expressing a desire to preserve authenticity even in the face of opposition.
