And cold, my frozen lungs

Feeling emotionally strained, like the strings of a musical instrument.
To carry the lonely song
Enduring the burden of carrying a lonely and melancholic tune.
Home
Yearning for a place called home.
So cut and fold
Advising to cut and fold, possibly suggesting adapting to challenges.
And tie it around like a soldier
Suggesting resilience by tying hardships around oneself like a soldier.
And tread like the bulls in Nirvana
Encouraging perseverance, akin to the determination of bulls in Nirvana.
And all I know
Expressing a limited understanding of the situation.
Hang it all up with your clothes
Symbolically hanging up troubles alongside everyday concerns.
This time I swear it'll hold
A pledge that this coping mechanism will endure.
Hey, come on, love
Inviting love or companionship.
Barefoot and broke, and I'll stroll back again
Facing challenges, being financially strained, yet ready to return.
(Sorry that I'm not gonna be home)
Expressing regret for not being able to return home.
(Or has it changed by now?)
Questioning if home has changed during the absence.
So wreck, this reckless test
Describing a destructive and risky test or trial.
Want to lay back down

Seeking solitude and asking to be left alone.
And breath, on your sleeve
Focusing on someone's breath on their sleeve, possibly a moment of intimacy.
Such dreary breath

Continuing to run away from problems.
Boy you're drunk on it
Acknowledging intoxication, possibly metaphorical, with the issues at hand.
