Where are the words to say to you,
Expressing difficulty in finding appropriate words.
Where do they all begin.
Questioning where to start expressing feelings.
I should not have a lot to lose
Having little to lose and much to gain in the situation.
And everything to win.
Feeling optimistic about the outcome.
And I want you to be smiling,
Desiring the listener to be happy and not to shed tears.
I want you not to cry.
Wishing for the listener to remain strong and not cry.
And even if I hide away,
Even if the singer withdraws, the listener will understand.
Then you'll get the notion why.
Suggesting that withdrawal may convey a certain message.
A symphony I learnt at school,
Learning a symphony in the past, but not using it to create songs for public consumption.
In pigeonholes so clear,
Having clear categories for ideas but not translating them into public expression.
But it made me for to write no songs,
The symphony learning experience discouraged songwriting for public consumption.
For nobody to hear.
