With all our brains what did we gain with our technology?
Questioning the achievements of technology despite intellectual advancements.
Better wars, cars and VCR's is what they're building for me
Criticizing the focus on war, cars, and entertainment technologies.
But this world's not getting satisfied it's building more
Highlighting the insatiable nature of the world's desires and ambitions.
Greed
Pointing out the negative impact of greed.
And TV that's for me, our advanced communication
Criticizing the impact of television on the mind and imagination.
Wasting my time mind and imagination
Expressing dissatisfaction with the time spent on advanced communication.
Station to station- mind devastation
Describing the mind devastation caused by constant communication.
Polluting our youth across the nation
Highlighting the pollution of youth through media across the nation.
And this is what they're calling civilization
Labeling the current state as civilization and questioning its value.
Our leaders push us forward to annihilation
Criticizing leaders for pushing towards destruction.
Nation against nation, this is our creation
Commenting on the creation of conflicts between nations.
Intoxicate, inebriate to keep from contemplation
Describing the use of intoxication to avoid contemplation.
Doctors work on cures for diseases we created
Highlighting the irony of doctors working on diseases caused by human activities.
From cancer causing chemicals we dumped and then ate
Pointing out the environmental damage caused by human actions.
The birds and bees and trees are now becoming outdated
Expressing concern about the degradation of nature.
'Cause modern man's advanced mind is too sophisticated
Attributing environmental issues to the supposed sophistication of modern man.
So proud of our modern sexual liberation
Criticizing the consequences of sexual liberation, including broken families.
With broken families and unwanted population
Highlighting the negative impact of sexual liberation on population control.
Expect three out of four divorces out of any given situation
Expecting a high rate of divorces in modern society.
While the kids are left out for their street education
Emphasizing the negative effects of broken families on children's education.
And so called freedom is obtained by good looks or a gun
Criticizing the concept of freedom based on appearance or force.
And money changes laws no matter what they've done
Pointing out the influence of money in shaping laws, regardless of morality.
And the greatest goal in life is to have some fun
Criticizing the pursuit of fun at the expense of others.
At anybody's cost to be number one
Highlighting the competitive nature where being number one is prioritized.
Well I'm sick of these lies and denial
Expressing frustration with lies and denial.
If we care out there let's make our arrival
Calling for positive action if there is genuine care for the world.
Our twentieth century advancement will go on for a while
Acknowledging the continuation of 20th-century advancements.
How much more will we destroy in the name of survival?
Questioning the extent of destruction in the name of survival.
