Emphasizing the collective blindness to these issues.


When we fight each other it puts all of them at ease

Explaining how internal conflicts benefit those in power.

It keeps us so busy,

Keeping the population preoccupied with internal conflicts.

So they can do what they please

Internal conflicts allow those in power to act without opposition.

Election time comes and they're out for votes

Political leaders become active during election time for votes.

That's when you see and hear from them the most

Increased visibility of leaders during election periods.

This is what they're calling a democracy

Critical view of the political system labeled as democracy.

That's just another word for hypocrisy

Describing democracy as a synonym for hypocrisy.

We keep fallin' for the bait

Falling for deception set by those in power.

When we realize,

Realization comes too late for the general population.

Expressing concern for a nation allowing children to die.

What kind of a nation lets their children die

Criticizing a corrupt government and bureaucratic obstacles.

Government's corrupt and full of red tape

Anticipating questions about the speaker's hatred.

Then you're gonna ask me why I hate
