The passion is high, but the spirit is low

I really don't know what the future has in store
Uncertainty about what lies ahead in the future.
Keep my head down, see how the cards will unfold
Focusing on the present and letting events unfold naturally.
While everybody racing, chasing placements
While others strive for recognition, the focus is on building a strong foundation.
Im here building a foundation, strong as pavement
Working on establishing something durable and steadfast.
And to everybody hating, stay complacent
Ignoring negativity and staying committed to personal goals.

The feeling will never change, so the passion will never drown

From headphones in friends ears, to headlines with bigger crowds

But at the moment the basement calls to me now
Feeling drawn back to the familiar and comforting space of the basement.
