As you laugh, someone cries
Contrasting emotions exist simultaneously; laughter and crying coexist.
As you live, somebody dies
Life and death are interconnected; one's existence may lead to another's demise.
One will fall but another will rise
A cycle of falling and rising, symbolizing the inevitable changes in life.
Someone loves, someone hates
Duality of emotions; love and hate coexist in the human experience.
And as you ascend into Heaven
Ascending to Heaven while others go through the challenges of Hell.
Others pass through Hell's gates
Highlighting the contrasting journeys people undertake.
And let us not lose compassion
Emphasis on maintaining compassion even for those awaiting forgiveness.
For those who have yet to be pardoned
A plea not to forget the struggles of others who haven't found redemption.
May we not forget our fellow man
Remembering and empathizing with fellow human experiences.
Mourn with those who mourn
Encouraging shared sorrow for those in pain.
And rejoice with the joyous
Promoting shared joy for those experiencing happiness.
May we not forget our past
Reflecting on the importance of remembering historical lessons.
So if grace was ever given
Expressing readiness to offer grace if given the opportunity.
