Feeling unpredictable and potentially uncontrollable.
Into the crowd
Entering a crowd, possibly metaphorically disappearing.
I disappeared in space
Physically or emotionally vanishing into space.
And the doors closed off
Encountering closed doors and a racing heart.
my heart began to race, I was like
Expressing a state of heightened emotion.
I’ll bet that I was wholly unprepared then
Reiterating a lack of preparation for a situation.
To face the matter at hand
Facing a challenging circumstance.
