I drive a truck, it carries money
I work as a truck driver, transporting money.
And everyday, I dream up my fantasies
I regularly daydream about my desires and aspirations.
Yesterday, I bought my beach house
Recently, I purchased a beach house.
A little place just off the coast of France
It's a small place near the coast of France.
Everyday, I think of money
Money is always on my mind.
Everyday, I think of running
I constantly contemplate the idea of escaping or running away.
I love my truck, I love my family
I have an affection for my truck and family.
Stacked in the back, the good life surrounds me
My truck is filled with the good things in life.
Could tie my right hand man
Considering getting rid of a close associate.
And put him some place
Contemplating a change in my life by relocating someone.
Then I'd ditch the truck
If I make that decision, I would abandon my truck.
And buy a new face
Considering a radical transformation, possibly cosmetic surgery.
Everyday, I think of money
Money remains a constant thought.
Everyday, I think of someway
Continuously searching for ways to improve my situation.
It can't buy you love
Money cannot buy love.
It can't give you a soul
It cannot provide a soul.

Money can lift you up.
Can down you low

Can drag you out, of the hole
Money can rescue you from a difficult situation.

But it can't save you from self-created problems.

Reflecting on personal responsibility.

The repeated cycle of digging oneself out of trouble.
Sat in a truck, it carries convicts
Now, I find myself in a truck carrying convicts.
My hands are bound, to the seat by handcuffs
I am restrained in the seat by handcuffs.
Tomorrow, I'll maybe walk around the yard
Thinking about the possibility of walking in the prison yard tomorrow.
Or paint in my cell, and hate imprisonment
Possibly engaging in artistic activities in my cell while resenting imprisonment.
Everyday I think of money
Money remains a prevalent thought even in challenging circumstances.
Everyday I miss my family
Expressing the longing for family while being away.
