Lyrics
They say there's a bridge out there
There is a widely acknowledged concept or solution.
Out there in the mist
This concept exists in the unknown or uncertain.
Some will deny it's there
Some people will reject or disbelieve in this concept.
Others will tell you it don't even exist
Others will assert that it is not real.
It's not made of iron or steel, nor stone
The bridge is not physically constructed from traditional materials.
Yet it spans the rising waters
Despite this, it extends over challenging circumstances.
We are but bags of blood and bone
We are fragile beings, composed of blood and bone.
Yet we carry the weight of our sons and our daughters
Yet we bear the burdens and responsibilities of our children.
And now the fields are all but drowned
The fields are overwhelmed, and challenges abound.
And we climb up to the ridge
We ascend to a high point.
Some will seek the higher ground
Some will strive for a safer position.
Some of us the bridge
Others choose to embrace the challenging concept or solution.
If all is behind us now
If the past is left behind.
Beneath that swollen river
Beneath life's difficulties.
The bridge we will find somehow
We will discover the solution or path forward.
Only then will we be delivered
Only then will we find relief or resolution.
Though some will claim to be inclined
Some may pretend to be open-minded.
It's a figment or a ghost
Insisting that the concept is imaginary.
But the bridge is deep inside the mind
The bridge exists within the inner thoughts.
Invisible to most
Yet, it remains unseen by most people.
And now the city's all but drowned
The city faces overwhelming challenges.
And here up on the ridge
On this elevated place.
Some will seek the higher ground
Some seek safety in higher ground.
Some of us, the bridge
While others choose to embrace the challenging concept or solution.
Open the gates that we may follow
Request to uncover the path for everyone.
Open the bridge to all of us
Make the concept accessible to all.
Open the floodgates to the river
Allow the challenges to flow freely.
Open the bridge that we may cross
Open the way for everyone to overcome difficulties.
