Emphasizing a state of survival, oblivious to current concerns
Or what yr thinkin
Not worrying about the thoughts and whereabouts of someone
I'd just hunt and I'd gather and I'd know no different
Engaging in basic activities without complexities
But I know one thing for sure
Expressing certainty about avoiding the future
I will avoid the future like the plague
Reiterating a longstanding aversion to novelty
But that's nothing new -- I want nothing new
Stating a preference for familiarity
What bothers me the most is
Highlighting a particular concern or annoyance
Before I thought to stop a plane crash or cure some disease
Prioritizing thoughts of a significant other over global issues
I thought of you -- and what I could do
Linking the idea of personal actions to the well-being of someone
Really I'd go to any time, not just to find some clever way to die
Expressing a willingness to go to any time period
But to know that I wasn't right here and right now
Valuing the idea of not being in the present
So the odds would increase that maybe you'd be there too
Increasing the chance of being together by not being in the same time
