One day you're working for the weekend
Initially working for leisure but now for routine.

Work has become part of the regular week.

My calendar is filled with disappointment
Disillusionment from planned events.
Each date is a dentist appointment

I've heard that looks can be deceiving
Skepticism about appearances and a need for belief.
But I need someone to believe in
Desire for someone to have faith in.
Try hard to keep conversation
Attempting to maintain conversations.
Start to feel a sinking sensation
Feeling conversations deteriorate.
I say it happens all to often
Expressing frequent recurrence of a situation.
Start putting nails in the coffin
Metaphorically ending relationships.
But enough about you lets talk about me
Shifting focus onto oneself from others.
I've got a degree in something like zoology
Claiming expertise in a field.
Or was it human psychology
Uncertainty between different fields of study.
Sorry sometimes I get the two confused
Confusion between subjects due to disinterest.
Can't tell if it's raining or pouring
Indifferent to external conditions.
But either way it sounds pretty boring
Disinterest in external situations.
I've lost all interest in everything you have to say
Complete loss of interest in another's words.
So I'll sleepwalk to the doorway
Choosing to disengage and move away.
Some other day
Delaying interaction for another time.
Some other time
Indicating postponement to a different instance.
Some other place
Desiring to bypass a particular situation or person.
To pass you by
Suggesting a different destiny or outcome.
Some other fate
Being partially aware, not fully engaged.
I'm half awake
Feeling half-awake.
It's much too early
Early stage of the day, feeling unprepared.
It's not too late
Implying there's still time for action.
It's not too late
Emphasizing that it's not too late to act.
