Back in nineteen-ninety-four

I fell head over heals for the boy next door

I prayed every night and day

Graduation he moved on

My mamm always said that they'll be lesson that you learn

Advice from her mother about learning from life's lessons.

You don't need to know 'em all right now

Realization that one doesn't need immediate knowledge of all lessons.

But I'm learning as I go

Learning through life experiences.

And the more I learn I know

Realization that as knowledge grows, the desire for more diminishes.

The less I want to know anyhow

Reduced interest in gaining more knowledge anyway.

I finally found my whole world

Little boy and a little girl

Got me a man with a heart of gold

Found a loving husband with a good heart.

It all came back a hundred fold

And I watch the gravel kickin' up

Watching her husband return home.

As he pull in the drive in his pick-up truck

Seeing him arrive in his pickup truck.

I just smile and my good luck

Feeling fortunate and happy about her life.
