Introduction: Narrator met a girl at an indie rock show.
She was standing close right behind me
The girl was standing close behind the narrator.
And she was there all alone so she was on her phone
The girl was alone and on her phone.
I made her smile a couple of times
Narrator made the girl smile a few times.
And I thought that maybe she was into me
Narrator thinks the girl might be interested in him.
Maybe this girl's the one and this is meant to be
Narrator contemplates if the girl is the one meant for him.
Outside of my league, I am not that attractive
Narrator acknowledges being outside of the girl's league and not very attractive.
And it didn't help that I was stoned
Narrator was under the influence of substances (stoned).
But I hope that someday I'll get an indie rock girl to call my own
Narrator hopes to find an indie rock girl despite the perceived obstacles.

Narrator notes the main act is about to start.
I knew I didn't have that much time
Narrator feels time is limited.
So I turned around and her eyes locked onto mine (and she was fine)
The narrator and the girl share a moment with eye contact, and the narrator finds her attractive.
One deep breath and I was straightforward
Narrator takes a deep breath and directly asks if the girl is single.
I proposed the question, "Are you single?"
Narrator proposes the question to the girl.
With a gorgeous grin, she politely uttered "No"
The girl, with a beautiful smile, politely reveals that she is not single.
Okay, here we go!
Expressing determination or readiness for the next phase.
As soon as the show was over she disappeared from my sight
After the show, the girl disappears from the narrator's sight.
And I never caught her name, but I know I won't forget that night
Narrator didn't learn the girl's name but cherishes the memorable night.
