Two Clowns
Two Clowns Unveiling the Circus of LifeLyrics
I used to think it funny to watch the creature in the ring
I used to find amusement in observing the performer in the circus ring.
I would laugh at every lion-taming fool
I would mock and laugh at those who attempted to tame lions.
But you know it'd be alright if a ballerina fell
It wouldn't bother me much if a ballerina fell from a high wire.
From a wire's height
Despite the fall, there's a safety net to ensure a safe landing.
They got a safety net to make her landing cool
The safety measures mitigate the potential harm.
So take the blindfold from yer eyes
Be perceptive, remove your blindfold.
Take the candy floss out of yer mouth
Stop being naive or ignorant.
Because this is something you should know about
There's an important truth you need to be aware of.
Two clowns talking in the ear of disaster
Two individuals acting as clowns, discussing impending disaster.
The crowd's breath is baited on the will of the master
The audience is anxiously awaiting the decision or command of the one in charge.
Two clowns all dressed up to usher in disaster
Both clowns are attired to introduce or facilitate a catastrophe.
What are you waiting for?
What hesitation is holding you back?
You sweat to bring the hammer down and ring their shiny bell
Struggling to make an impact, striving to gain attention and applause.
Got you spending cash so fast it makes you sick
Spending money impulsively on superficial attractions, leading to regret.
A pink and stuffed and fluffy prize is the cheapest way
A plush toy prize is the easiest way to distract oneself from reality.
To divert your eyes
Unaware that the game or situation is rigged or manipulated.
You don't ever know the game is fixed
Realize the deceitful nature of the scenario.
So take the freak show from yer mind
Free your mind from the spectacle.
Take the ignorance out of yer heart
Remove the prejudices or misconceptions from your beliefs.
In which political act will you play yer part?
Which political action will you engage in?

Well I could not believe it when I walked around the grounds
Surprised to find an empty space where the lively circus once stood.
A vacant lot where the circus just had been
A place where the circus recently existed is now vacant.
It's a thrilling theatre of death
It's a dramatic and thrilling setting, but now devoid of life.
Completely vanished, nothing left
Everything has disappeared without a trace.
Seems like I'd forgotten everything I'd seen
It feels like I've forgotten or lost all my memories of what occurred.
I break the shackles on my cage
I'm breaking free from constraints or limitations.
I break acceptance in my soul
Rejecting conformity or compliance within myself.
And I will not eat the meat they're putting in my bowl
I refuse to accept what they offer or impose on me.
