Breaking Chains: The Honor System's Anthem for LiberationLyrics
Someone said you're feeling ill
Someone mentioned you're unwell
Well they've got this brand new pill
There's a new medication available
Does anything you want but it doesn't come cheap
Medication offers relief but at a high cost
Fast food particles stick to the veins
Unhealthy food sticks in the bloodstream
Car exhaust goes to the brain
Vehicle emissions affect the mind
Sickness is always free
Sickness is prevalent and accessible
Help doesn't come that easy
Receiving help isn't straightforward
Lungs black with smoke
Respiratory system tainted by smoke
I watch my neighbors die
Witnessing neighbors succumb to their habits
They've got no self-control
They lack self-restraint
When they die no one cries
There's apathy towards their passing
â??I could give a fuck for youâ?? is the song they're singing
Indifference expressed in a song
So I wrote this one for us
The song is a personal expression of care
Now the big hand's hit the hour
Time is passing
Could you give this up completely?
Could you quit entirely?
Whisper to me what you want
Share your desires quietly
I would love to see you happy
Wishing for your happiness
And I'd come to visit soon
Intention to visit despite challenges
But these streets are filled with landmines
Dangerous surroundings impede the visit
And these buildings lie in ruin
Urban decay and destruction
And I'm bleeding on the inside
Internal suffering
I feel angry I feel tired
Feelings of anger and fatigue
All bad habits turned to sickness
Bad habits leading to illness
If they're all saints then I'm a liar
Reflecting on personal flaws amidst others' virtues
But I think its time we fix this
Time to rectify the situation
