Psalm 104: A Harmonious Ode to Earth's CreationLyrics
He set the Earth on it's foundation
God established the Earth on its foundation.
So that it should never be moved
The Earth is set in such a way that it remains steadfast and unmovable.
And You makes streams gush forth
God causes streams to burst forth from the mountains.
From the mountains
These streams flow down from the mountains.
And flow between the hills
They course through the valleys between hills.
O Lord, how manifold are all of Your works
Expressing awe at the multitude of God's creations.
In wisdom You have made them all
Recognizing the wisdom behind all of God's works.
He causes grass to grow for the livestock
God causes the growth of grass for livestock.
And plants for man
Plants are provided for the benefit of humankind.
That he may bring forth food from the Earth
This enables the production of food from the Earth.
And wine to gladden his heart
Additionally, wine is provided to bring joy to the human heart.
O Lord, how manifold are all of Your works
Reiterating the vastness of God's creations.
In wisdom You have made them all
Emphasizing the wisdom inherent in God's creative acts.
O Lord, how manifold are all of Your works
Continuing to acknowledge the abundance of God's works.
In wisdom You have made them all
Repeating the acknowledgment of God's wisdom in creation.
May the glory of the Lord endure forever
Expressing a desire for the enduring glory of the Lord.
