We all smoked fear and moved underground

When the dust clears and we make our way back
When circumstances become clearer after the pause, and we begin returning.
We'll gawk at the cost of safety and slack
We'll be amazed at the price paid for safety and the decline in productivity.
Remember when the world shut down
Reiterating the memory of the global shutdown.
And we let just a few split up our towns
Reflecting on how a few individuals divided communities during this time.
To the wind we threw caution and sense
Choosing to ignore caution and rationality, disregarding safety measures.
Feigning secure by words offered in jest
Faking a sense of safety through insincere or joking words.

Should we run for the hills, the hills

That makes no sense

The fundamental basis of our existence is connected to love.

Love that has been brought into existence.
That came to life
Possibly an invocation or reference to spiritual guidance or support.
Jesus
