Lyrics

I've been waiting for this war to be over, since before the first battle began

I've been anticipating the end of this conflict from before it even started.

We are haunted by weaponized illusions, that keep interrupting our plan

We are troubled by deceptive images designed for warfare, disrupting our strategies.

If we create a way to run away from power games, masquerades

If we devise an escape from power struggles and deceitful actions,

And clashing blades, then our enemies will win before we fight

including masquerades and direct conflicts, our adversaries will triumph without a battle.

I do not know how to wake up from this nightmare

I don't know how to escape this distressing situation.

So until then I will try to make things right

Until a solution is found, I'll strive to correct the situation.

Sometimes it will feel like pushing boulders, up relatively vertical hills

At times, the challenges will seem overwhelming, akin to pushing boulders uphill.

Playing chess against kings and their soldiers

We engage in a strategic game against powerful adversaries and their forces.

When our comrades are not ready to help

Our allies may not be prepared to assist when needed.

First they'll call our self-defense violence

Initially, our defensive actions may be labeled as violent.

Then they'll call their violence the law

Later, they might justify their violence as lawful.

They say their tridents are made out of kindness

They claim their weapons are crafted from goodwill.

But those words are made of poisonous straw

However, those words are deceitful and harmful.

When the next revolution is over, we will celebrate together

After the next revolution concludes, we'll celebrate collectively.

Sharing jugs of wine, in a utopian neighborhood

We'll share wine in an idealistic community.

And then remember all of those good old times

Recalling the positive memories of the past.

All of those good old crimes

Reflecting on the past rebellious acts as good times.

Like throwing rocks at cops and shops for fun

Engaging in activities like throwing rocks at law enforcement and stores for amusement.

Because we could and the greater good

Justifying such actions for the greater good and our ability to do so.
