Through my temptation to walk away,
Expressing the struggle to resist the temptation to give up or walk away.
And through the endless troubled days,
Acknowledging the presence of ongoing challenges and difficulties.
There's a hundred million ways,
Highlighting the multitude of ways available to express praise.
For me to release your praise;
Expressing a desire to release praise, possibly in the face of challenges.
And by and by, and through the tears,
Referring to a future time ("by and by") and acknowledging tears and lessons learned.
And the things you taught me through the years,
Reflecting on the teachings received over the years.
My whole life was designed by you,
Asserting that one's entire life has been intentionally designed by a higher power.
I'll never know anyone half as true;
Expressing a deep belief in the authenticity and truth of the higher power.

Repeatedly lifting something up, likely representing an act of offering or surrender.

Repeating the theme of surrendering one's entire being to the higher power.
