We're all just trying to live and so we cleave to things that give us leap
We cling to things that bring joy, trying to live fully.
Hoping we achieve it before it's time to leave
Hoping to achieve dreams before life's end.
Yea I was going through the motions
Reflecting on a period of emotional detachment.

Metaphorically, expressing isolation through a message in a bottle.
Holding up this notion that growing up is so cold
Believing growing up is challenging and emotionally cold.
And folks will think I'm not a bro if I'm showing too much emotions
Fearing judgment for showing vulnerability.
So I hide my self from the public
Withdrawing from public exposure to shield oneself.
Crying myself to sleep cos finding your help is repugnant
Expressing difficulty in seeking help due to societal norms.
Fighting hell, lying like everything is fine like Denzel in Flight,
Struggling and pretending everything is fine, likened to Denzel Washington in Flight.
Flying high as hell in that cockpit
Metaphorically flying high despite internal struggles.
I wish men would speak up more
Advocating for open communication, especially among men.
Stick with themselves even when the heart's a little sore
Urging self-reflection and persistence in challenging times.
Not fickle stuff, not sports, not chicks in little shorts
Valuing substantial matters over superficial ones.
I mean more, core things like seeds of a sycamore
Emphasizing the importance of fundamental, enduring values.
I've been having to teach
Assuming a role of guidance and support for others.
I've been happy to be the help they can grab within reach
Finding fulfillment in assisting others within reach.
Cos it's lacking or hard to find, that's actually sick
Highlighting the scarcity of support and its impact.
Practically it should cost half the price of vanity strips
Suggesting that emotional support should be more accessible.
Your mind is cracking, you need to gradually stitch
Recognizing the need for mental healing and support.
You need family to fall back on when the gravity hits
Emphasizing the importance of family in difficult times.
Contrary to what they think, it's not like scratching an itch
Contrary to perceptions, seeking help is not a trivial matter.
