Using a metaphor, I speak freely with a touch of humor.
In a cheek, I'm joking
While joking, I express myself with a cheeky attitude.
I'm writing songs and I'm talking shit
I create songs and engage in playful banter.
But you got a conscience
However, you possess a conscience.
And you're honest with my verbal vomit
You honestly respond to my candid and unfiltered expressions.
So do you even want it?
I question if you genuinely desire this interaction.
Are you laughing at or laughing with?
I inquire whether your reaction is mockery or genuine laughter.
My head is a spaceship with
I view my mind as an imaginative spacecraft during a psychedelic experience.
No compass on an acid trip
There is a lack of direction in my thoughts during this hallucinogenic journey.
And I'm wasting all my oxygen
I am using my energy inefficiently to make you smile.
On getting you to grin
My focus is on eliciting a positive response from you.
But you got a conscience
Yet, you have a moral awareness.
And you're honest with my verbal vomit
You truthfully react to my unrestrained verbal expression.
So do you even want it?
I question if you truly appreciate this exchange.
Are you laughing at or laughing with?
I ask whether your laughter is mockery or genuine enjoyment.
I am nothing but a child, you'll see
I see myself as nothing more than a child.
Why are you spending so much time with me?
I question why you invest so much time in my company.
Do you see something more?
I ask if you see a demon that fascinates you.
A demon you adore?
I question the meaning behind a particular facial expression.
What was that face for?
I seek clarification about your reaction.
And you, you're no different
You, too, are not fundamentally different.
Dipping into cosmic sickness
You delve into existential and universal challenges.
It's true, I'm a witness
I acknowledge the truth, being a witness to cosmic struggles.
And I'm laughing at you laughing with
I find amusement in observing you, whether you are genuinely laughing with me or not.
