Sunken Eyes
Journey of Sunken Eyes: A Dream UnveiledLyrics
As I wake into the morrow
Starting a new day
Feeling not yesterday's sorrow
Not feeling the pain or sadness from the previous day
Spirits high new day begun
Feeling optimistic and energized
Sunken eyes staring at the rising sun
Having tired or exhausted eyes looking at the sunrise
I venture out into the forest trees waving their leaves of green
Exploring nature and its vitality
And as I sit to rest and think I slowly slip into a dream
Drifting into a dream state while contemplating
Which I wander through a field where flowers grow so wildly
Experiencing a dream of a vibrant and untamed place
And I cannot believe my eyes as the earth is sucked into the sea
Witnessing a surreal event where the earth disappears into the sea
I dive in swimming all around through the hues of blues and grey
Engaging in a dreamlike underwater exploration
And as I search the murky depths sunken eyes staring right back at me
Encountering unsettling eyes underwater, possibly reflecting inner turmoil
So the day becomes the night
Transition from day to night
Shadows start creeping in the stark moonlight
Feeling the approach of darkness and uncertainty
And the sounds of willows weeping cause an awful fright
Experiencing fear induced by natural sounds
While the howling wind sends chills down my spine
Sensations of discomfort caused by eerie atmospheric elements
Now I hear voices screaming all around my head
Hallucinating or perceiving distressing voices
And I feel my eyes shot bloody red
Feeling extreme emotional strain reflected in eye appearance
I look to a lake that's been freshly dredged
Observing a disturbing scene of a dredged lake with a body
I seen a bloated floating body that's full of lead
Seeing a deceased, swollen body submerged in water
Now I've come to realize that he and I are one
Realizing a connection between oneself and the deceased
As I hear the distant ringing of a fired gun
Hearing a distant gunshot
Attention turns to a city overrun
Shifting attention to chaos in a city
While my sunken eyes are glaring at the rising sun
Continued reference to the tired, sunken eyes at sunrise
