Life is encapsulated or simplified in compartments or categories.
These walls, they don't know the difference
The walls are unaware of the distinctions between various experiences.
The difference between the many rooms they've seen
The walls don't recognize the differences in the many rooms they have witnessed.
They're all just painted different shades of white

Slowly lose desire
Gradually losing the motivation or passion.
To keep things to feed to the fire
Reluctance to keep things that can be sacrificed or burned.
The fire I'd hope to drown out in smoke

Home is just a meaning
