Navigating Screens: Unveiling the Truth Within

The screens are on in my head
The constant mental images or thoughts are active.
But I can’t read the TV set
Unable to comprehend or interpret the information presented on the TV screen in the mind.
I don’t know what it says when the truth is masqueraded
Difficulty discerning the truth when reality is disguised or hidden.
These arms feel broken when they reel away loose illustrations
Feeling emotionally or physically broken when confronted with unclear representations.
Depicting carbon effigies of error
Images portraying mistakes or faults in a material form.
Black red blue
Colors representing various emotions or aspects.
White lies fall on deaf ears
False statements go unnoticed or are ignored.
Open your eyes
An urging to be aware and attentive.
You’re not looking for a guide
One is not seeking guidance.
Just for someone to hold your hand
Desiring companionship or support rather than guidance.
And lead you away
Yearning for someone to guide and comfort during difficult times.
There’s no incentive
Lack of motivation or inducement.
No reason to conceive
No compelling reason to create or bring into existence.
Nothin’ to concoct
Nothing to fabricate or invent.
A judgement call on your life
Making decisions about one's life.
You see yourself every day
Constant self-reflection.
When you wake
Seeing oneself daily upon waking.
And when you walk
Observing oneself while moving or progressing.
In others as they float down their own rivers
Observing others navigating through their lives.
Never puzzled but intrigued
Others are not confused but rather fascinated by life's intricacies.
It all happens together
Everything occurs simultaneously.
Let nature run its course
Allowing natural processes to unfold.
It’ll be hard for sure
Acknowledging that the journey may be challenging.
But I’m sure
Confident that eventually, things will work out.
You’ll be you
Remaining true to oneself.
In the end
Despite challenges, one will retain their identity.
A fresh coat of pain
A metaphorical renewal or refreshment, possibly after pain.
Another year down and more to go
Reflecting on the passing of time, with more experiences ahead.
Taking it by the day makes it all slow down
Taking each day as it comes to make time seem more manageable.

The desire to escape or avoid.
The screens are on
The mental images intensify.
