I've been walking in the shadows for so long that I forgot the sun could shine

I maintained a constant pace, preventing my focus from settling anywhere meaningful.

As I stand still now, I contemplate the duration of your presence in my life.

I inquire about the time you've spent guarding me from love, which I mistakenly avoided.
That shouldn't be, knowing all alone that I would realize
