Parody at the Masquerade
Unveiling Life's Masquerade: A Song's RevelationsLyrics
I tried to be a man
I attempted to embody the qualities of a mature individual.
I tried to play the part
I tried to conform to societal expectations.
Thinking growing up was reaching out and thinking on our own
Believing that growing up meant independence and self-reflection.
I've learned a little bit and figured out the truth
Through experience, I gained some knowledge and uncovered the reality.
That everyone just wants to tell you what to do
Realizing that people often dictate what one should do.
I've covered all the facts and stood them in a row
I've gathered information systematically and organized it.
And after shooting all the ducks down I deciphered out the code
After critically assessing everything, I deciphered a hidden message.
That it is just a trick and we are all pawns while the king and queen push us along
Recognizing life as a deception where powerful figures manipulate us.
I know that the whole world is spinning around
Acknowledging the constant motion and complexity of the world.
I've taken all I can
I've endured challenges up to my limit.
I've taken a bit more
I've faced even more difficulties than I thought I could handle.
I've been dealt a deck of cards to find, the game is just a bore
Realizing that life's challenges are mundane and uninteresting.
Oledged my allegiance well to a cause I cannot mend
Promising loyalty to a cause that is beyond my ability to fix.
Then to realize that this fight was all pretend
Discovering that the struggle I committed to was merely a charade.
Who knew that the whole world is spinning around?
Understanding that the world keeps turning despite personal realizations.
Though they have different faces, it's all the same
Noticing that, despite different appearances, the underlying issues are the same.
While we are left to play their game
We are left to engage in a game controlled by those in power.
And what do I have left but a thin pile of sand that has broken out the hourglass
Reflecting on what remains after enduring challenges – a fragile sense of time.
And jumped into my hand,
A metaphorical representation of time slipping away, like sand through an hourglass.
A simple grain of salt alone in outer space
Feeling insignificant and isolated in the vastness of existence.
Revolving around a start to spawn a race.
A metaphorical description of humanity's origin and purpose.
