well i used to be in a marching band

I started to walk, it began to rain

I was running along to catch that trai-a-n

Running to catch a train, symbolizing pursuit and movement.


I used to listen to the Beatles and the stones,

Then I found some bands like the move and the ramones

Discovering additional bands like the Move and the Ramones.

we made some friends who’d we met in the city

Making friends in the city.

we lost a few but you know you have carry along

Experiencing losses but emphasizing the need to carry on.


I always go back to sitting in a room

Continued preference for being alone and immersed in creative pursuits.

Strumming to myself and working on a new tune

Engaging in personal musical development and songwriting.
