Expressing confusion about the heart's desires.

Suggesting a repetitive cycle or history of similar events.
It all will be here again
Predicting the recurrence of current circumstances.
The earth will remain forever
Asserting the permanence of the Earth despite human failures.
And we will never change
Resignation to the unchanging nature of humanity.
A novel in macabre vein
Describing a dark and twisted narrative.
Of the world utterly insane
Portraying the world as overwhelmingly irrational.
We lust for ravenous ways
Expressing a desire for destructive behavior to numb pain.
To dull the impending pain
Using indulgence as a coping mechanism for imminent suffering.
Pain is such a greedy metaphor
Describing pain as insatiable, consuming various forms.
Since we don't know
Reiterating the lack of awareness about true needs.
What we are looking for
Continuing the theme of confusion regarding desires.
