WASTING MY TIME
Navigating Shadows: YALTA CLUB's Reflection on Time and ChoicesLyrics
It’s been a while I haven’t tried to clear the darkness,
Reflecting on a past period without attempting to dispel inner turmoil or negativity.
That’s always on my mind
Constantly preoccupied with these thoughts.
Shadows lookin’ at me sayin’
Feeling as though ominous forces or uncertainties are challenging the person.
“Catch me if you can”
Suggesting a challenge or pursuit that seems difficult to capture or resolve.
This is not in vain
Believing that the effort put in won't be wasted.
The sun comes right after the rain
Expressing hope that good times will follow difficult ones.
But see it’s gone, see it’s gone again
Despite the hope, the positive phase seems fleeting.
I’m not ready to let go
Unwilling to move on or release something.
I won’t try and I’ll go
Not willing to attempt change and preferring to leave.
wastin’ my time, wastin’ my time
Repetitive acknowledgment of wasting time but finding solace or acceptance in it.
wastin’ my time once again
-I’m wastin’ my time, wastin’ my time
-wastin’ my time
-But it’s OK
Acceptance or justification of the situation.
I can’t see it go away
Acknowledging the inability to prevent something from disappearing.
Now it feels bright, it feels fine
Presently feeling good or positive.
Everyday, every word and every sign
Each day and every communication seems significant.
I only wish that I could save, hey
Expressing desire to preserve an ongoing moment.
A never ending day
Wishing for a never-ending experience.
Time to think, time for fools
Reflecting on the choices and decisions associated with time.
Time to win, time to lose
-Time to figure out, to figure out
-To figure out what to choose
-Part of me is saying no,
Inner conflict between staying and leaving.
Part of me is really tellin’ you to go
-wastin’ my time, wastin’ my time
Reiterating the repetition of wasting time but finding reassurance in it.
wastin’ my time once again
-I’m wastin’ my time, wastin’ my time
-wastin’ my time
-But it’s OK
-I can’t see it go away
-wastin’ my time, wastin’ my time
Continuing the pattern of acknowledging wasted time but finding a sense of comfort or resignation in it.
wastin’ my time once again
-I’m wastin’ my time, wastin’ my time
-wastin’ my time
-But it’s OK
-I can’t see it go/see it go/see it go away
Acceptance of the inability to prevent something from disappearing.
