Stating that physical attributes like teeth and eyes won't be necessary.
You won't find a thing to chew
No need for chewing, as everything changes.

No need for traditional relationships like husband or wife.
You'll pick your son, pick your daughter too
Selection of offspring through artificial means.

Birth depicted as an artificial, controlled process.

If God's a-coming, He oughta make it by then
Speculating on the possible arrival of God for judgment.
Maybe He'll look around Himself and say
Imagining God considering the state of the world.

God expressing approval or disapproval of humanity.
He'll either say "I'm pleased where man has been"
God's decision to either preserve or restart the world.

Questioning the continued existence of humanity.
He's taken everything this old earth can give
Observing humanity's consumption without replenishment.

Highlighting the lack of contribution back to the Earth.
Now it's been ten thousand years
Reflecting on ten thousand years of human history.
Man has cried a billion tears
Expressing the immense sorrow and suffering of mankind.
For what, he never knew, Now man's reign is through
Questioning the purpose of human endeavors.
But through eternal night, the twinkling of starlight
Despite the end of human reign, the stars continue to shine.
So very far away, maybe it's only yesterday
Suggesting that even in the distant future, it might feel like yesterday.
