Suppressing strong emotions or frustrations.
Sure we stood for something
Believing in something, although its precise nature is uncertain.
For what, it's hard to say the least
Uncertainty about the cause or belief they stood for.
Don't wanna end up another statistic
Not wanting to become a misrepresented or misunderstood statistic in the news.
That the news will misprint
Fearing being inaccurately portrayed or overlooked in media reports.
Got my six string and a microphone
Possessing a guitar and a microphone.
It's a sound salvation, radio
Seeing music as a form of salvation, especially through radio.
Put some records on and strum along
Playing records and creating music using simple chord progressions.
