Shallow smile painted words and my selfish motives

Passed my flawed defenses
Overcoming personal flaws or vulnerabilities.
A trial by fire
Facing a challenging and transformative experience, likened to a trial by fire.
Someday I will be free

And I know that this pain won't last forever
Believing that the current pain is temporary and will not endure forever.
For it all will be a memory
Anticipating that all the pain will become a distant memory over time.
I used to think I was deep
Reflecting on a past belief in one's depth or complexity.
While staring into my shallow ends
Acknowledging a realization of one's own shallowness while introspecting.
The ends that justified my means
Recognizing that the means used were justified by the ends achieved.
But I know I'm just like the others
Admitting similarity to others and vulnerability, especially when close to emotional "water."
Falling when near the water
Experiencing a metaphorical fall or failure when confronted with emotional challenges.
Here I come to your feet and as I am my God save me
Seeking salvation or help from a higher power while approaching with humility.
Enter season's change another love is lost
Entering a new phase marked by the change of seasons and acknowledging the loss of love.
And with the leaving of the weather's wind
Connecting the departure of love with the changing weather and its metaphorical impact.
Another fragrance gone when will it end
Expressing the continuous loss of something valuable, comparing it to a fading fragrance.
But alas I love the loss
