Lyrics

I'm appalled by the crimes of two white wealthy men.

I am disgusted by the actions of two affluent white men.

They despise the working class they're claiming to defend,

They disdain the working class despite claiming to support it.

First they packaged a lie to orchestrate the demise of a nation already fractured and in descent.

They initially propagated a falsehood to contribute to the decline of a nation already divided and in decline.

To foster hatred towards those of a different hue.

They promoted animosity towards those of a different race.

To wrap yourselves in the flag of a racist red, white and blue.

They exploited national symbols to justify racist ideologies.

To bring the country to its knees with such relative ease, well there's a special place downstairs for both of you.

They easily brought the country to a state of vulnerability, and the speaker suggests a negative fate awaits them.

You staged the deception of the age and dodged the brawl.

They orchestrated a significant deceit and avoided facing the consequences.

As you pose in those xenophobic robes of hope.

While presenting themselves as champions, they embody xenophobia.

Yet you never fall.

Despite their actions, they remain in power and unaffected.

One's a bumbling fraud with a silver spoon to sin.

One of them is a deceitful imposter born into privilege.

The other's an odious frog who will casually shed his skin.

The other is a repulsive figure shedding his false identity without remorse.

Both are establishment frauds, who had to settle a score with a man who discharged into a head of a pig and grinned.

Both are part of the establishment, seeking revenge on someone who disgraced them in a perverse manner.

You staged the deception of the age and dodged the brawl.

Repetition of the earlier deception and evasion of consequences.

As you pose in those xenophobic robes of hope.

Continued portrayal of false hope with xenophobic undertones.

Yet you never fall.

Despite their actions, they remain in power and unaffected.

I was fine before, was I fine before?

Reflection on the past, questioning whether things were better before.

We were fine before, where we fine before?

Shared reflection on a previous state of well-being.

Where we fine before?

Reiteration of the uncertainty regarding the past state of well-being.
