Lyrics

I slept through the night, I got through to the dawn

I had a restful night's sleep and reached the morning

I flipped a switch and the light went on

I turned on the light effortlessly

I got out of bed and I put some clothes on

I got up and dressed

It's a pretty good day so far

Overall, the day is going well

I turned the tap, there was cold there was hot

I had access to both cold and hot water

I put on my coat to go to the shop

I put on my coat to go outside

I stepped outside, and I didn't get shot

I stepped outside without encountering danger

It's a pretty good day so far

Overall, the day continues to be positive

I didn't hear any sirens or explosions

No signs of emergency like sirens or explosions

No murders coming in form those heavy guns

No reports of violent crimes or heavy artillery

No UN tanks, I didn't see one

No presence of UN tanks

It's a pretty good day so far

The day remains relatively calm

No snipers in windows, taking a peak

No snipers threatening from windows

No people panic, running scared through the streets

No widespread panic or people fleeing

I didn't see any bodies without arms, legs, or feet

No gruesome sights of dismembered bodies

It's a pretty good day

The day is still pretty good

There was plasma bandages and electricity

Availability of medical supplies and utilities

Food, wood, and water; and the air was smoke free

Basic necessities like food, wood, and water are present

No camera crews from my TV

No media coverage of the unusual events

It was all such a strange sight to be home

Returning home is a strange and surreal experience

Nobody was frightened, wounded, hungry, or cold

No one is in a state of fear, injury, hunger, or cold

And the children seemed normal, they didn't look old

The children appear normal and unaffected

It's a pretty good day so far

The day continues to be positive

I walked through a park, you would not believe it

I visited a park, and it was unexpectedly intact

There in the park, there were a few trees left

Some trees are still standing in the park

And on some branches, there were a few leaves

A few leaves remain on the branches

I slept through the night, got through to the dawn

I slept through the night and reached the morning again

I flipped the switch and the light went on

I turned on the light again

I wrote down my dream, I wrote this song

I documented my dream and created this song

It's a pretty good day so far

Overall, it's still a pretty good day
