I did what I had to do
Fulfilling necessary actions without compromise
And saw it through without exception
Persisting through challenges without exceptions
I planned each charted course
Strategically planning and following a set course
Each careful step along the byway
Being cautious and deliberate in life's journey
And more, much more than this
Reiterating independent accomplishments
I did it my way
Emphasizing the uniqueness of my approach
Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
Acknowledging challenging moments in the past
When I bit off more than I could chew
Accepting challenges beyond my capacity
But through it all when there was doubt
Facing doubts with resilience
I ate it up and spit it out
Confronting difficulties head-on
I faced it all and I stood tall
Remaining steadfast and proud in adversity
And did it my way
Reiterating the independent approach
I've loved laughed and cried
Experiencing the range of human emotions
I've had my fails my share of losing
Facing failures and losses in life
And now as tears subside
Reflecting on challenges as they diminish
I find it all, oh, so amusing to think
Finding amusement in life's experiences
I did all that and may I say
Expressing satisfaction in personal achievements
Not in a shy way oh, no
Asserting accomplishments confidently
Oh, not me i did it my way
Emphasizing the individualistic approach
For what is a man, what has he got
Contemplating the essence of being human
If not himself, then he has not
Valuing self-identity and authenticity
To say the things he truly feels
Expressing genuine emotions and thoughts
And not the words of one who kneels
Rejecting insincere words and actions
The record shows I took the blows
Highlighting resilience in the face of challenges
And did it my way
