Lyrics
Looking through my conscience wondering why none of it's familiar at all
Reflecting on personal experiences and feeling a lack of familiarity in one's conscience.
I've drawn out the equations but nothing seems to save me the moments I fall
Despite efforts and calculations, the speaker struggles to prevent moments of downfall.
I try to break away from the times I tried to make it all more than enough
Attempting to distance oneself from past attempts to exceed expectations.
Maybe I was love struck or maybe I just fucked up what once was
Contemplating whether the speaker was driven by love or made mistakes in the past.
Maybe we can just give one more shot
Suggesting the possibility of giving a relationship another chance.
Cause we both know that this is all we've got
Acknowledging the limited nature of the current situation.
And after all the tides have cleared the shore
Referring to challenges or difficulties that have passed.
There's no telling where the winds will push us toward
Uncertainty about the future and the unpredictable nature of life.
And although all the storms have forced us back to port
Despite facing hardships, the speaker believes there is a path back to stability.
I know for sure they will restore us back to before
Expressing confidence that challenges will lead to a return to a previous, better state.
Looking through the pictures wishing I was with you to cleanse it all
Longing to be with someone while reminiscing through pictures.
Searching for a sound like a shell that's on the ground and pretend to call
Searching for a comforting sound amid difficulties and pretending to communicate.
I've been in my lighthouse drowning all the lights out ignoring the shine
Metaphorically feeling isolated and extinguishing the metaphorical lights of hope.
Candles keep on burning but somehow I'm concerned that there's still more time
Concerns about time passing despite the persistence of hope.
And after all the tides have cleared the shore
Reiteration of the uncertainty and unpredictability of life.
There's no telling where the winds will push us toward
Highlighting the unknown future and the influence of external forces.
And although all the storms have forced us back to port
Despite setbacks, believing that challenges will guide back to a stable point.
I know for sure they will restore us back to before
Expressing confidence in the restoration of a previous state.
The obsessive and compulsive coincide with these emotions that I take through the eye
Describing the intertwining of obsessive and compulsive behaviors with emotions.
In the middle of the ocean I see spirits that I'm close with as they take to the sky
Imagining a connection with spirits, possibly representing lost loved ones.
But maybe that's exactly how it goes
Speculating that facing difficulties is a natural part of life.
When finding inner peace just take it slow
Advising to take a patient approach in the pursuit of inner peace.
And after all the tides have cleared the shore
Repeating the theme of life's uncertainties and the ebb and flow of challenges.
There's no telling where the winds will push us toward
Emphasizing the unpredictable nature of where life's journey may lead.
(There's no telling where)
A reminder of the uncertainty in life's course.
And although all the storms have forced us back to port
Despite setbacks, the speaker believes challenges will lead to a return to stability.
I know for sure they will restore us back to before
Confident in the eventual restoration of a previous, more positive state.
