Waitin' on a Miracle
Hope's Last Stand: A Soul's Cry for MiraclesLyrics
I’m down to my last drop of faith
I have almost completely run out of faith.
My last ounce of strength
I have very little strength left.
My knees are worn
My knees are exhausted from waiting for a miracle.
From waitin’ on a miracle
I've been patiently anticipating a miracle.
I’ve prayed, God, I’ve prayed
I have prayed earnestly, repeatedly seeking divine intervention.
I’ve stormed the gates in Jesus’ name
I have fervently prayed in the name of Jesus, taking bold actions.
Crying out night and day
I have consistently cried out day and night.
Just waitin’ on a miracle
Continuing to wait patiently for a miracle.
But I don’t know how much longer
I am uncertain how much longer I can maintain hope.
I can hold out hope tonight
Expressing doubt about holding onto hope tonight.
And I wish my will was stronger
Wishing for a stronger will but feeling weakened.
But instead I’m just a weary heart
Feeling weary instead of having a resilient heart.
Waitin’ on a miracle
Still patiently waiting for a miracle.
I’ve heard Your hand can calm a raging sea
Acknowledging the belief that God's hand can calm powerful forces.
But can You calm the storm in me
Questioning whether God can bring calmness to the storm within.
‘Cause that’s how it feels
Describing the emotional turbulence while waiting for a miracle.
When you’re waitin’ on a miracle
Expressing the challenging nature of waiting for a miracle.
And my soul longs for the day
Longing for the day when the answer to prayer is revealed.
When I see the answer to the prayer I’ve prayed
Anxiously awaiting the resolution of the prayed-for miracle.
And it’ll all be worth the wait
Believing that the wait will be worthwhile in the end.
Waitin’ on a miracle
Continuing to wait for the anticipated miracle.
