And tomorrow brings another train
Awareness of another train departing, symbolizing the departure of the young and hopeful.
Another young brave steals away
Highlighting the departure of a young, brave individual seeking something more.

The person departed is the one most remembered from the green and grey valleys.

The valleys are associated with memories of the departed person.
You used to talk about winners and losers all the time, as if that was all there was
Reflecting on a past habit of categorizing people into winners and losers.
As if we were not of the same blood family, as if we live by different laws
Perceiving a sense of disconnection within the same blood family.
Do you owe so much less to these rain swept hills than you owe to your good self?
Questioning the loyalty owed to the hills compared to oneself.
Is it true that the world has always got to be something
Pondering if the world's significant events always seem distant and unrelated.
That seems to happen somewhere else?
Reflecting on a perception that important things happen elsewhere.
For God's sake don't you realize that I still hear that call
The persistent call to the tempting and dangerous place is still heard.
Do you think you're so brave just to go running to that which beckons to us all?
Challenging the perceived bravery of those who succumb to the call.
No, not for one second did you look behind you
No acknowledgment or reflection on the past as the person walks away.
As you were walking away
Walking away without looking back or expressing good wishes for those staying behind.
Never once did you wish any of us well
No indication of well-wishing for those who chose to remain.
Those who had chosen to stay
The difficulty and sacrifice associated with making it in the current place of residence.
And if that's what it takes to make it
If such detachment is necessary for success, the letters sent may go unread.

Recognition of the green and grey valleys as the sender's location.
