Who laid the foundation of the earth, He spoke and so it was
God created the earth by speaking, establishing its foundation.
He measured out the lands and to the waters gave their course
God determined the boundaries of lands and directed the courses of waters.
Whose Word was there before it all, Creating and giving life
God's Word predates everything, bringing creation to life.
Leaving angels and the stars astounded
Angels and stars are amazed by God's creative power.
Who covers His hands with lightning and commands the darkness to flee
God controls lightning, dispels darkness, and commands the winds.
The winds they hear his call and they go at his decree
Winds obey God's call.
By the rain and every downpour, He seals the hands of man
Rain and downpours are under God's control, symbolizing His authority.
As His voice it thunders through the heavens
God's voice resonates through the heavens with thunderous power.
At this my heart it trembles and it leaps out of my chest
The speaker's heart reacts with awe and fear to God's voice.
When I hear the Voice that calls me onward
The speaker is moved by the Voice of God that guides and motivates.
Who set the running race of time and beyond its grasp, He lives
God exists beyond the constraints of time, controlling its course.
As He, the Author, notes its beginning and its end
God, as the Author, oversees the beginning and end of time.
That voice again it echoes in His love for you and I
God's voice echoes in His love for humanity.

Who planted every forest tree and watched as each one rose
God created every tree in the forest and witnessed their growth.
From the redwood in its infancy to the seed of the eldest oak
God is mindful of both small and large aspects of creation.
Who's mindful of the plains of grass and the wildflowers there
God cares for the grassy plains and wildflowers as much as human struggles.
To the same degree He's mindful of my struggle
God's mindfulness of creation parallels His awareness of human challenges.
At this my heart it trembles and it leaps out of my chest
The speaker's heart responds with awe and anticipation.
As I feel the weight of glory come and meet my brokenness
The weight of God's glory meets human brokenness.
And I count the cost to carry on cause it's worth every step
The speaker considers the worth of continuing the journey.
When I hear the Voice that calls me onward
The Voice of God motivates the speaker to press forward.
And day by day, through age to age, His purpose ringing clear
God's purpose remains clear through the ages.
Where darkness covers every heart, His Spirit hovers near
Even in darkness, God's Spirit is close to every heart.
His Voice, it sings and light, it brings to the formless and the void
God's voice brings light to emptiness and chaos.
And His glory will never cease it's shining
God's glory continually shines without fading.
At this my heart it trembles and it leaps out of my chest
The speaker's heart responds with awe and joy.
My sole response is singing Hallelujah
The ultimate response is to sing "Hallelujah" in praise.
