Denying reliance on human abilities and strengths.
But I will boast in Jesus Christ,
Expressing a commitment to boast only in Jesus Christ, His death, and resurrection.

Why should I gain from His reward?
Pondering the undeserved nature of gaining reward through Jesus.
I cannot give an answer,
Admitting inability to fully comprehend or justify God's gracious reward.
But this I know with all my heart,
Affirming a deep conviction that Jesus' wounds paid the ransom for redemption.
His wounds have paid my ransom.
Expressing a heartfelt certainty in the efficacy of Jesus' wounds in securing salvation.
