In the midst of the throne stood a Lamb
In the center of the throne, there is a Lamb.
As it had been slain:
This Lamb appears to have been sacrificed.
And all the host of heaven
All the celestial beings in heaven are praising His name.
Praise His name!
They express adoration, singing that He is worthy.
Singing, 'Thou art worthy, for Thou wast slain
They acknowledge His worthiness due to His sacrificial death.
And hast redeemed us to God,
He has redeemed believers and brought them to God.
And now we shall reign with Thee!'
Believers will now reign with Him.
Out of the throne flows the river
From the throne, there flows a river of the water of life.
Of the water of life,
This river symbolizes the life-giving essence.
And the holy city, New Jerusalem,
The holy city, New Jerusalem, is associated with the Lamb.
The Lamb's own bride!
New Jerusalem is metaphorically described as the Lamb's bride.
There shall be no night there, just eternal day
In this city, there will be perpetual daylight with no night.
For the Light of the Lord
The Light of the Lord will always be present.
Shall always stay with thee.
The divine light will remain with believers.
Looking unto Jesus,
Believers are encouraged to focus on Jesus.
Forsaking all our sin,
They are urged to forsake all sins.
They that overcome
Those who overcome will rule and reign with Him.
Shall rule and reign with Him!
A promise of authority and co-reigning is given.
By the Blood of the Lamb,
This victory is achieved through the Blood of the Lamb.
and His Word of power;
Additionally, through His powerful Word.
And He will give you the bright and morning star!
A promise of receiving the bright and morning star is given.
The morning star!
This morning star symbolizes a divine blessing or revelation.
