Wholehearted dedication with one's heart, soul, and strength.
I lift up my hands, lay down my life
Surrendering and sacrificing one's life in worship.

Acknowledging the simultaneous existence in the world as a living sacrifice.
And still I know I am in this world
Acceptance of living as a sacrifice in the present world.

Valuing spiritual gains over worldly accomplishments.
Take all my pride and sinfulness
Willingness to surrender pride and sinful nature, symbolically nailed to the cross.
And nail it to the cross
Expressing the act of surrender and cleansing through the crucifixion symbol.
Who is this King
Pondering the identity and significance of the King of Glory.
This King of Glory
Reflecting on the eternal nature of the King of Glory.
Who was and is and who will be
Acknowledging Jesus as the Savior throughout time.
Savior of man, if I die with Him
Expressing a willingness to share in the death of Christ and the hope of resurrection.
And like Jesus I will rise again
Connecting one's fate with the narrative of Jesus, anticipating a rise after a symbolic death.
