An internal struggle or discomfort is felt.

The Sanity seems all gone,
The sense of rationality or reason is diminishing.
We know what's right to do,
Awareness of what is right, but unable to act on it.
But it is not for me nor you.

A call to awaken from a passive state.
We drift away on the Endless sea,

No way to fend off what is to come,
Unable to prevent what is approaching.
waited too long. All will be gone,
Procrastination leading to irreversible consequences.
Distant voices, gruesome choices,
Distant voices and difficult choices influencing.
Embodies me, encouraging me
These influences become part of the speaker.
To set sails and look beyond and foresee
Encouragement to explore beyond the current situation.
Can we awaken from this slumber
Reiteration of the call to awaken.
We drift away on the endless sea,
Continued metaphorical drifting on the endless sea.
No way to fend off what is to come,
Inability to prevent impending events.
Waited too long.
Acknowledgment of waiting too long.
All will be gone.
The consequence is inevitable; everything will be gone.
Can we awaken from this slumber
Repeated call to awaken from a passive state.

Continued metaphorical drifting on the endless sea.

Continued inability to prevent impending events.
