And everybody’s getting married

Feeling emotionally trapped or immobile while others progress in life.

And I start to think it’s the end
Contemplating whether it's the end, possibly of the relationship or a phase.
Until I see ‘Alright’ tattooed on my hand
Finding reassurance or comfort through the tattoo 'Alright' on the hand.
And I feel alright
Feeling okay or at ease due to the presence of the 'Alright' tattoo.

Reiterating the lover's busy nature and seeming indifference.

Reinforcing the lack of concern or interest from the lover's side.
But when I come back home to the city
Expressing the desire to meet the lover upon returning to the city.
