Courage of Your Convictions
Courage Unveiled: Stand for What's RightLyrics
If you know you're right
If you are confident in your beliefs
When the others are wrong
Even when others disagree
It's hard to sit and take it
It's challenging to endure
They treat you like you've lost your senses
Others treat you as if you've lost your sanity
Call you troublemaker
Labeling you as a troublemaker
I'm not trying to cause you trouble
Expressing a lack of intention to cause trouble
I don't want to fight
Not desiring conflict
Someone's got to stand up sometime
Recognizing the need for someone to take a stand
And do what's right
And do what is morally right
Just have the courage of
Emphasizing the importance of having
The courage of your convictions
The bravery to uphold your convictions
People tell you do what's right
Advising to do what is right
And set and good example
And set a positive example
Sometimes right means who to hate
Recognizing that what is right can sometimes be divisive
Listen to the people
Listening to the opinions of others
I'm not trying to mess your mind up
Clarifying the intention not to confuse or disturb
But it's plain to see
But acknowledging the evident conflicts
People pulling from both sides
Conflicts arising from opposing viewpoints
It's agitating me
Finding it disturbing
So have the courage of
Reiterating the need for
The courage of your convictions
The strength to stand by your beliefs
People teaming up on sides
Observing people forming opposing groups
Hating one another
Engaging in hatred towards each other
Know your heart before you join
Advising self-awareness before joining a group
A team to hurt your brother
That might harm others, including family
If there's a way to lead us from this
Considering alternative ways to navigate difficulties
Like in troubled times
Highlighting that solutions won't arise from hostility
It won't be found through blood and hate
Suggesting that understanding and courage are essential
But through courageous minds
To overcome troubled times
